Successful applicants must start their research within 5 months from the date in which they are notified about the fellowship. Researchers may request to extend start date of project due to extraordinary circumstances such as medical emergency. However, the extension is subject SC approval.
Below are the processes that will need to be completed in order to start the project.
- Letter of Commitment must be sent to TÜBİTAK within 30 days after the notification of fellowship to researchers. The Letter includes the rights and responsibilities of the host organisation and the ER and technical details for the implementation of the project.
- A Grant Agreement must be signed between the TÜBİTAK and the host institution.
- First installment of the project fund related to the living allowance, mobility allowance and research, training and networking funds will be transferred to project account which will be opened by the host institution accounting department.
- A “Fixed Term Employment Contract” must be signed by the fellow and host institution. Afterwards a fellow can starts the research. A copy of employment contract must be submitted to BİDEB.
